When I think of Memorial Day it takes me back to being a kid; going to the local town parade, BBQ at my grandparents and family fun time. But my first thought when I think about Memorial Day is my grandfather. His birthday is May 30th. He is now gone and I miss him so. I only have great memories of him. He was the nicest man you could ever meet. Everyone loved him. This time of year gives me a sense of sadness, missing him, and a sense of joy, all the great memories I have.
To help celebrate this great holiday, My Mommys Shop is holding a 10% off store wide sale. Just enter the code MDC2011 when you check out.
Have a happy and safe Memorial Day Weekend!
Being a mom is by far the hardest job there is. A mom has to know a little about everything, from changing a diaper, to organizing play dates, to making a healthy meal, to helping with algebra, Yikes. My mission for this blog is to inspire you, make you laugh, maybe cry and update you of great products found on my website, link below.

Best Compliment Ever!
Kids do say the darnedest things!!
I couple of weeks ago my son, age 5, gave me the best compliment ever. We were sitting down to dinner and with the most sincere voice he said to me, "Mom your the best cooker ever. You are just like the on the network." I smiled ear to ear. The network he was referring to is The Food Network. I really don't think I can compare to Rachel Ray and Bobby Flay, but it made my heart melt.
I love to cook and The Food Network is really the only TV I watch. I watch it like it is culinary school.
The funniest part is what I made for dinner: chicken nuggets, french fries and broccoli. Funny he never seems to like what I make when it takes me hours of preparing. Oh well, I will take the compliment and keep cooking!

Welcome!
Hello and welcome to my blog.
I am a stay-at-home mother of three beautiful children. They keep me laughing, crying, loved, busy, crazy, drained and completely happy. My children are my inspiration for almost all I do. I was a working mom who wanted to stay home with my children, so I took a huge leap of faith and left my job. Not having a consistent paycheck is hard to get used to, but we managed for a while. Now, as I am sure you know, having kids is expensive. It was time for me to take another huge leap of faith and I opened up my own estore. I had been selling on EBay for years and now the time has come to go full throttle.
I thought deciding what to sell was going to be the easy part of starting a business. Think again. I would come up with an idea and then it would change in five minutes. First, I was going to open a store just with baby supplies, then that turned into cooking store, then that turned into camping store, which turned into travel items…
I finally decided I am interested in more then one thing, and I bet many women feel the same. I am not just one type of mom; I love to cook, bake, play outside, read, travel, decorate, sew and the list goes on and on. That is how My Mommys Shop got started.
I welcome you to visit my store http://www.mymommysshop.com (link also at the bottom of the page).
